OF THREE KEY LEADERS TO IMPLEMENT THE FIRMS
FUTURE OBJECTIVES & GOALS
IRVINE, CALIF. — Nationally recognized architect Arthur Danielian, FAIA, Founder of Danielian Associates, a full-service architecture and planning firm, announces the appointment of three key leaders in the firm to the position of Principal, signifying a corporate transition that will ensure the continuance of leadership through future generations.
Former Directors Connie McKenna, HON AIAOC, Michael J. Boyd, AIA and Norman Soto, AIA have been elevated to Principal. Together, they represent more than 40 years of service with the firm. In their new roles, they will set the course for the firm’s future strategic plan and business operations.
“For the past several years we have and will continue to build strong leaders who will enable a seamless transition. Distributing ownership to those who have proven exceptional leadership is a part of the ongoing process,” Danielian says.
“Art Danielian has held the firm’s primary responsibilities for 38 years, and he is now distributing this responsibility to a group of trusted, loyal and experienced professionals who intend to maintain and improve the high quality of design services offered over the years,” says Soto, who came to Danielian Associates five years ago, bringing with him previous experience in the fields of health and senior’s care. “It was Art Danielian’s enthusiastic drive, passion and conviction for residential design that made me want to become part of this firm’s future.” Soto leads Danielian’s ever expanding international portfolio, which includes projects in China, Bulgaria, the Middle
East and Mexico. According to Art Danielian, “Norman combines the experience of a
professional seasoned architect with an outgoing personality, essential qualities in developing
great business relationships”.
McKenna says that while she can recall many proud moments at Danielian Associates, the honor of being named Principal is the finest. McKenna’s tenacious yet professional leadership has guided the development of policies, standards, reporting procedures, advancement of IT systems, fiscal management and direction of Danielian Associates. “Connie is a true professional who not only safeguards the financial and business aspects of the company, but also cultivates and nurtures the concept of strong teamwork and harmony.” says Danielian.
With 26 years at Danielian Associates, Boyd says the family-oriented corporate culture and Danielian’s passion for the craft of architecture have made the firm a great place to work. “This promotion and invitation from Art to share in the benefits of ownership help to justify every career decision I\'ve made in my years of service,” he says. Boyd, an industry veteran, is an asset to the firm because he has seen the firm through different economic cycles over the years and is able to respond to new challenges. “Mike is not only very loyal but one who keeps the technical operation of the firm flowing productively and smoothly. His 25 year tenure at Danielian Associates coupled with his design background and passion for training and mentoring keeps technical people motivated and focused on Company goals and policies.” says Danielian.
According to Danielian, the company’s immediate goals will be to continue to build excellence in design and service and increase the quality of product delivery. Long term, the sky is the limit. “Three to five years from now, Danielian Associates will be poised to offer services beyond what the traditional architectural / planning firm normally provides. Our business is designed to evolve methodically to maintain our solid reputation as we move into the future with our constantly changing industry,” he says.
